Global Tech Top 10Open rankings
Scoring methodology

How the Global Tech Top 10 score is calculated.

The index is a directional, algorithmic ranking built from public market signals, public technical footprint indicators and observed operational friction. It is not a paid award, advertorial placement or claim that any single score is absolute fact.

30%

Market / capital velocity

Public market scale, valuation fallback, revenue acceleration where available and buyer demand signals.

30%

Talent density

Public technical footprint, visible developer ecosystem and senior engineering concentration signals.

20%

Technical output

Open-source activity, product cadence, research/model output and developer adoption.

-20%

Friction penalty

Deductions for operational drag, governance concerns, security/reliability incidents or execution risk.

Algorithmic neutrality & commercial separation

Profile claims, evidence submissions, sponsorships, reports and commercial relationships do not change the scoring formula. They can improve metadata accuracy, source links or descriptive context only.

Registry evidenceCompanies House, SEC and other official registry checks are used as evidence layers where a match is found. They are not used to overwrite scores unless the scoring model explicitly uses that metric.
Private companiesPrivate companies often do not publish full financial statements. The site therefore distinguishes public-market metrics from registry identity, funding/valuation signals and public technical footprint.
CorrectionsCorporate representatives may submit evidence for metadata corrections. The ranking remains calculated through the same neutral scoring framework.
